Request for the Attorney General to investigate the AIP 2010 convention and SCC meeting

Everyone:

I've been pondering what to do about the AIP Convention of June 26 and State Central Committee meeting of June 27, and have been consulting with several of you.

I've come to the conclusion that asking the AIP SCC Chairperson, Markham Robinson, to do the right thing at this point in time is like asking the fox to put the chickens back after he's already eaten them.

Today, I decided to ask the Attorney General to investigate. I tried telephoning their Public Inquiry Unit (800-952-5225), but no one was available and the recorded voice told me to try again later. So instead, I filled out the "General Comment / Question Form" on the WWW:

http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=PL

I provided my name, address, etc., and a simple, short, direct statement in the "Comment" box:

I am the American Independent Party candidate for U.S.
Representative in Congress, District 11. Myself and numerous
other AIP nominees and elected county central committee members
were denied our rights of participation in the AIP Convention of
June 26, 2010, and AIP State Central Committee Meeting of June
27, 2010, per Elections Code sections 7500-7699. I ask that the
Attorney General please investigate this matter.

I suggest that all of you who are AIP nominees and/or elected county central committee members whose rights were denied consider doing the same.

Sincerely yours,

David Christensen
2010 AIP Nominee, U.S. Rep. in Congress, 11th Dist.
